· The re-run of a test to ensure that
what was not working before is now working.
· Always performed when a fault was found
and fixed.
Re-Testing can occur at any level
or phase of testing.
It is the testing of the fix that
has occurred because of the fault that was found.
When a fault is found, the tester
assigns the fault to a developer who investigates and fixes the fault.
Once the fault has been fixed the developer will
assign the fix back to the tester for Re-testing.
